This component provides support for HP ProLiant Smart Array 5x and 6x Controllers. Driver version 5.44.0.32 and newer added support for the HP Smart Array 641/642 controllers. Driver version 5.46.2.32 and newer added support for the HP Smart Array 6402 controller. Driver version 5.48.0.32 and newer added support for the HP Smart Array 6404 controller. If you have not already done so, copy all of the extracted Compaq Smart Array 5300 Controller Driver files to a disk which we will refer to as the Driver Disk. Insert the Windows 2000/Server 2003 CD to begin the installation process. If prompted, press any key to boot from the CD. When Windows 2000/Server 2003 Setup displays the message 'Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver”, press 'F6'. When Windows 2000/Server 2003 Setup displays the message 'Setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to manually specify an adapter,' press 'S' to specify an addition device. Insert the disk with the extracted Compaq Smart Array 5300 Controller Driver files and press ENTER. Select the controller from the list displayed and press ENTER.
